Born in California and raised in Kansas, Dr. Pruss has lived in several big cities across the country, including San Diego, Kansas City, Fort Lauderdale, and Los Angeles before deciding to settle down in the Chicago area.
After receiving her DVM from Kansas State University in 2006, Dr. Pruss did a one year small animal medical and surgical internship at Animal Medical Center in Cooper City, FL, followed by two years at a neurology-exclusive practice at Animal Specialty Group in Glendale, CA. Realizing that her favorite part of practice was connecting to clients and developing longer term relationships, she switched her focus to general practice in 2009.
Dr. Pruss has a special interest in neurology, but also enjoys treating skin and gastrointestinal problems.
She lives in Geneva with her husband and daughters: Josephine, and twins Coriel and Ada. They share their house with a sphinx cat, Victor. In her spare time, Dr. Pruss enjoys the thrill of foot races and mountain bike races on the trails. She also enjoys camping, hiking, snowshoeing and fat biking.
