Dr. Groch grew up in Elmhurst living in a house full of animals including dogs, cats, potbellied pigs, frogs, and honey bees to name a few. When she in kindergarten, she accompanied her family to the vet for her pet pig's first visit. It was from that wonderful experience that she knew she wanted to be a veterinarian. Dr. Groch received her bachelor's degree in biology at Augustana College before attending Veterinary school at the University of Illinois.

Dr. Groch shares her home with her cat, Oliver, and her hedgehog, Luna. In her free time, she enjoys reading and completing DIY projects.
