DR. JENNIFER TRYTEK, DVM

I have always had animals in my life.  My Mom grew up on a dairy farm in Iowa and wanted to keep some of that connection even though we lived in a Chicago suburb.  We had chickens, rabbits, geese, ducks and cats at our house in (unincorporated!) Countryside.  I began competitively showing and riding Quarter horses at the age of 6.  I do not currently own a horse, but will again, hopefully some day soon.  My equestrian background brought me to the University of Findlay in Findlay, Ohio for my undergraduate work.   I continued my studies at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio to complete my Veterinary medicine Degree.  I am passionate about the “investigative” part of medicine-taking all the pieces of the puzzle and putting them together to formulate a diagnosis and treatment plan.  I also love the surgical opportunities veterinary medicine offers.  The most rewarding thing I find in veterinary medicine is educating the clients and helping them understand what is going on with their pet.

My husband and I have 3 daughters-Audrey, Hannah, and Madison-ages 9 months to 4 years.  They keep us extremely busy, entertained and are our most precious gifts.

Ziggy and Zoie, our two cats adopted from a stray mom, and African cichlid fish complete our family.
