I grew up in Newell, a small town in northwest Iowa and attended high
school in Sac City, Iowa. From there, I headed to Iowa State
University in Ames to fulfill my lifelong dream of becoming a veterinarian.
After 8 long years, I finally was able to put my interest to work. I
enjoy all aspects of small animal/exotic veterinary medicine, especially
educating owners about preventative care.
I own a 2 year old female American Bulldog named Haelo. I rescued
her from a shelter as she was going to be put down for her poor knees.
She has had both knees repaired and my husband and I have a hard time keeping
up with her pace. She enjoys coming to work daily to play with
Dr. Lancaster's dog, Lucas. I also own a
chubby cat named Pepper and another cat, Harley. He's well know for
his "Harley" motor when he purrs.
