K-LASER THERAPY
The K-Laser is a type of Class IV laser. Class IV lasers were FDA cleared in the USA in 2005 and have dramatically grown in popularity in the last 2 years. The laser creates a photochemical reaction to increase blood flow to the tissues. It stimulates the release of oxygen from hemoglobin delivered and enhances conversion of oxygen to useful energy.
In essence, it improves cell function, whether it is repair, cell growth or replication.
There are several applications for the K-Laser: pain management, wound healing and reducing swelling. More specifically, it has been used for arthritis, injuries, tendonitis/ligament tears, ulcers, hot spots, abscesses, ear infections, post surgery, trauma, fractures, gastrointestinal pain, pancreatitis, urinary tract infections and some respiratory infections. It does not just accelerate healing; it improves repair and remodeling of the tissue.
The laser treatment requires no sedation. The pet will feel a little warmth in the area where inflammations exist. The treatment lasts about 3-10 minutes per site. Multiple treatments are required to treat chronic conditions such as arthritis. Then booster treatments may be required about every three weeks to manage pain/arthritis.
HERBAL MEDICINE
There are many useful herbs which can be used in the treatment of a wide array of ailments. They are capable of being ingested in various ways, including drops. They are a safe and non invasive way to help your pet feel better.
ACUPUNCTURE
Accupuncture is useful in pain management and the treatment of arthritis. Is is also useful for treatments in other areas such as gastrointestinal, urinary, respiratory, and dermatological issues. This treatment consists of painlessly placing small needles at certain points on your pet's body. These points vary according to the condition which is being treated.
